OUR STORY
Hanley Taite Design Partnership are an RIAI and RIBA accredited architectural practice with offices in both Ireland and the United Kingdom. Established in 2003, the company was founded by the principal partners Garvan Hanley and Paul Taite.
Our goal is to create high quality spaces and environment through innovative design solutions that best respond to the setting and our clients aesthetic and budgeting needs. We particularly focus on the creative use of light and space along with attention to detail and through the use of sustainable and low energy features we strive to deliver maximum health and comfort for those who will experience the spaces we design. We pride ourselves on a comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of architecture, ensuring that every project is executed with precision and care.
GARVAN HANLEY – DIRECTOR
Garvan studied in D.I.T., Bolton Street, Dublin before periods of employment in Cavan, Dublin and Navan gaining invaluable experience working on a broad range of projects from residential to retail and office commercial.
Garvan is a registered Grade 2 Conservation Architect, affiliated with both the Royal Institute of Architects of Ireland and the Royal Institute of British Architects. He holds accreditation in Sustainable Building Design and Construction and has over 25 years of experience.
Garvan’s strength is in building long-term relationships with clients, driven by an innovative approach, exceptional design quality, strong communication and a commitment to developing practical yet aesthetically pleasing solutions.
PAUL TAITE – DIRECTOR
Paul is an Architectural Technologist having graduated from D.I.T Bolton Street in 2002.
He is an Arch. Tech. member of the RIAI and holds RIAI PSDP, Sustainable Building Design and Construction, Landscape Design and Management Practice accreditation.
Paul gained experience working in Architectural practises in Dublin and Navan prior to joining with Garvan Hanley to form Hanley Taite Design Partnership in 2003.
He has been involved in a wide range of projects over a successful 20 year period in the industry to date, and has gained a deep knowledge of design, construction detailing, supervision and project management during this time.
Pauls strengths are organising and communicating projects with colleagues, clients, contractors and other professionals, with the aim of providing and delivering quality building projects for the end users.

Located in Virginia Shopping Centre, Virginia, Co. Cavan, we continue to offer quality, competitive and efficient architectural services, mainly in counties Cavan, Meath, Westmeath, Longford, Monaghan, Louth, Kildare and Dublin. We have also worked on a project as far a field as Andhar, Pradesh in Southern India, a school for 1000 pupils.
Hanley Taite Design Partnership have the expertise to advance your building project from site analysis and concept stage through planning, tender, construction and on to completion. As part of this process we work with other design team members from Engineers and Quantity Surveyors to Energy Consultants and Landscape Designers. In recent years, there has been a significant focus on healthcare, hospitality and conservation across our portfolio.
We hold comprehensive professional indemnity insurance and can offer a valuation and stage payment certification service in conjunction with all major lending institutions.
